Our Concerns

Stop the Dumping, End the Danger

Two local garbage waste sites, Upper Valley Disposal Service (UVDS) on Whitehall Lane and Clover Flat Landfill, are stockpiling local trash and waste at the top of our community’s watershed. This is prime agricultural land in our community and our world class wine growing region. It is time to rethink this outdated practice that increases fire risk, threatens our water supply with contamination, and risks degradation of our community and the Napa Valley brand.

Our Mission

1. To prevent further expansion of the dump sites and degradation to our natural resources and the environment.

2. To hold the elected officials and regulatory agencies accountable.

3. Our ultimate goal is to decommission these two dump/waste sites and relocate them to more a suitable and less environmentally sensitive location with lower fire risk. Better solutions are available to our community.

Support Our Efforts - Dump the Dump

Join upper Napa Valley residents to close the Clover Flat/UVDS dump/waste sites.  We are fighting to halt the environmental, water, and fire hazards at facilities operated in prime agricultural lands and in our neighborhoods.

Our community is suffering from pervasive, unhealthy, harmful and damaging odors, noise and pollution generated by the waste facilities, which has consistently been cited for environmental and regulatory violations and safety failures.

Local residents filed a lawsuit this year to stop the current operators its Clover Flat/UVDS dump/waste sites.

The owners/operators have failed to take proper fire safety precautions and have constructed illegal buildings, a road and bridges over an adjacent creek without the required permits.

Join us! Take action now!

Say no to dump & compost fires, water pollution, illegal operations and the rotten garbage smell that hangs over our neighborhoods.
